The CD in question (I think...) is "Surrender To The Air", which is on Elektra
and is a session "led" by PHish's Trey Anastasio. Medeski is on it, along with
Marshall Allen and Michael Ray from Sun Ra, a guy or two from the Aquarian
Rescue Unit, drummer Bob Gulotti (from Boston - the place, not the band) and I
think Mark Ribot is on guitar, with another musical genius thrown in here and
there. As you can tell, I don't have it, but I've heard it's pretty wild -
definitely one of the most "out" things put out on a major label in the last
several years. It might not groove that hard, but is probably worth a check if
you're into stretching your ears.
