2.Let's understand a couple of things...if you're upset with Goody Mob's
train of thought you'd really be appalled by your group Digable Planets
whom you enjoy listening to so much. Its always funny to me, to see such a
huge white following at their shows, 'kids all in the front rows and shit.
And I cant understand why you'd rather listen to them, when weather on
national TV, or on wax they tell you clear as day (well maybe not to you,)
that they basically think most white people have devilish tendencies or at
least to some degree, are inherently evil. I came across an article on them,
their philosophies, and their music on the Internet written by someone who
got hip to what they were REALLY saying and didn't like it. I dont agree w/a
lot of it, but if I find it I'll send it to you.
Just as an example, do you recall when they accepted an award from their
first major album on the 94 Grammy's? They gave big ups to the Gods and
Earth's...are you familiar with the 5%Nation? If you were, you'd understand
that there is an entire translation to the abstract lyrics you enjoy
reciting and groovin to so much...These lyrics translate certain concepts,
manifestations, truths and realities that a huge number of rappers (more
than you'd realize) in particular, and young Black people follow...
Im behind the Mob and Digable 100%, for their beats, styles, and above all
consciousness. Ignorance isn't targeting Bill Clinton, its sticking your
head in the sand and not acknowledging oppression and real problems as they
exist--no matter what perspective you choose to look at them from.
Something this country is famous for, and continues to do 24-7....
