"Kind of Blue" most excellent, but "Bitches Brew", if my memory serves me,could
be a bit too heavy(takes a lot of listening/learning to before starting to
enjoy) in fact if it was your introduction to jazz it could put you off for
life (personal experience). "In a silent way" (slight rock influence) and "Doo
Bop" (rap/hip hop type influence) could be good bets, both easy to listen too
without the complexity of some jazz (inportant factors when I started listening
to jazz and both along with "Kind of Blue" remain favourites.

Charles Mingus "Ah Umm"
"The black saint and the sinner woman" (or something along those
lines)
Both reasonable complicated so don't exspect full enjoyment on
the
first listen

Roland Kirk "The inflated tear"
"..... of the three sided dream" (??) both excellent, bluesy in
parts
alblums ranging in style and tempo, anyone who can play 90
instruments
with such emotion and skill gets my vote. (but saying that you
might
want to listen before buying, some 'jazz fascist' friend do dismiss
him
as not playing real jazz (by what reason, I don't know)

The problem found with my introduction to jazz, only about six months ago, is
finding progressivly more complicated jazz, listening to jazz is a learning
experience....
