If one really wants the influences for Mother Earth material check out Brian
Auger (excellent collection from Tonge n Groove "Augerniztion") and Tim
Buckley. Both artist are available on CD on reissues. BTW, dont forget the
big influence from The Small Faces, especially on "You have been Watching".

Also, try out Matt Deighton*s solo release (cant remember the name right
now). Not acid-jazz but more like Dr Roberts solo or slower material from
Paul Weller.

Be sure too check out:
Free the Funk 1 - Think the collection Amyl House and brit-hop. Make it
slower. Put in artists like Word Up, Ballistic Brothers, Red Snapper and
Nightmares On Wax - its a success (especially the remix work from DJ Cam).
