my first taste of "acid jazz" was at a club called Rave around
1989 or 1990. it was on long island,ny and was a very underground hip hop
and house club. the song was "hot music" by
soho/pal joey and its still the sureshot. even though it might be
considered a house track, pal joey did stuff on that song that probably
inspired many of the artist we all lsiten to. few years later i stumbled on
to jazz ballistics #2, a mixed tape by chillfreez and that took my mind and
ears to the next level.
