Yes, Terry Callier is fantastic. Do you live in London? He was here
last week, did some amazing gigs at the Jazz Cafe.

You MUST get the 'Best of Terry Callier' on Argo/Cadet. His original
albums 'Fire on Ice' and 'Ordinary Joe' etc can only be found in
second hand record shops, for expensive sums. 'The New Folk Sounds of
Terry Callier' has recently been reissued and is available everywhere
and like the title suggests contains Terry's versions of classic Folk
songs. His new album, which I think will be on Talkin' Verve, should
be out soon. But in the meanwhile get 'The Best Of...'

Trainspotters will note the use of the 'Gonna Miss You're Candy Man'
break by Urban Species, and I'm sure 'It's About Time' was the sample
The Young Disciples used. I'd be interested to know who else has
nicked his stuff if anyone knows.

I've just been listening to 'If I could make you (change your mind)' by
Terry Callier. What a track!
Does anyone know of any Terry Callier albums around, and if they are any good?

Cheers,

Paul.
