I've been here for about 3 years and enjoyed the list and learned about a lot
of good tunes. I've been trying to finish my thesis for the last 6 weeks so I
haven't bought anything new in a while.

A few good things though.

Saw the Ninjatune guys in Toronto a few weeks ago and thought it was pretty
fun. I wish they hadn't set them up as something to watch though. I think more
people would have reaally got on down.

Caught the Groove Collective show for the acid jazz festival. Totally cool
except their new 'single' which sounds like it will propel them iinto stardom..
too bad they had to do that. The last time I'd heeard such a boring track was
Bass is Base's new 'single' which I happened to hear in a bar when MuchMusic
(MTV) was on.. too bad.

I think the next year will be the best ever for experimental dance and weird
vibes. I am more and more shying away from 'acid jazz' since I find new
jazz-funk, soul-funk, funk etc etc to be pretty flat compared to my old
records, Manu, Headhunters, Blue Mitchell, etc etc.

Keep up the groove
