Riz Maslen aka Neotropic aka Small Fish With Spine was in
Athens yesterday, djing at the Mad Club. I heard about it around
1am, the promotion was that shitty. :) Very few people showed
up - pity really. Riz played a nice set, mixing up drum n' bass,
heavy 80-90 bpm beats and lounge classics (Diamonds Are
Forever, etc). Overall, her set had that phuture lounge feel to it,
not really suitable for a club like Mad. Some moments reminded
me of the Eighteenth Street Lounge, aaah nostalgia. :) Anyway,
my friends and I seemed to be the only ones having a good time.
Got a chance to talk to Riz at the end of her set. She's genuine.
