particuly those drums at the start..
TONY D ..grand central do it again with another 12 inch from the producer
of poor righteous teachers.. fav track would have to be 'come back to
me', although i have found that the whole ep a little repeditive.. he
really gets into his loops..
ATTICA BLUES - tender ..this was a worthy (and long awaited) followup to
blue print.. can not wait for the lp..
TRICKY - makes me wanna die ..I dont normally get into tricky (blasphamy
i hear you say).. but this song has got to be the grooviest track on the lp.
in other news.. Australia is going to be in full effect for the next
month.. DJ Noize hits town next week for the lino tour, with locals
Raised By Wolves, B Boy Allstars, Crisp, DJ Soup, Metabass n Breath, and DJ
Son of Sam.. this will be a cool night..
Vibes on a summers day 4 has just been confirmed, with gusets
Propellerheads, Wise guys, Cool breeze vs Kid Loops, and good ol Giles,
as well as locals Wicked beats Sound system, Meta bass n Breath, and Crisp.
speaking of local vibes, any opinions on the Wicked Beats album on One
Movement..
one movement have also just released another single from a little known
sydney collaboration known as 'aphelionauts'.. everyone has slept on it
thus far, but I was lucky enough to get an advance copy, and it is dope..
perhaps the most well produced experimental hip hop/delicate vocal mutant
thang to come out of this country.. also containing a great remix from
cease fire (dope, but take my word that the rest of the ep can stand alone)
I'd love to hear peoples opinions on any other aussie beats they may have
heard..
