While we were on the subject of Miles Davis' 70's experiments,
I started to wonder how many other listees appreciate
RETURN TO FOREVER, Chick Corea's 70's funk-jazz-fusion
experiment.

These fellas turned out some bad-ass music...Lenny White on drums,
Stanley Clarke on bass, Al Dimeola on guitar, and of course,Chick.

The best albums are, IMHO, WHERE HAVE I KNOWN YOU BEFORE,
NO MYSTERY, and HYMN OF THE SEVENTH GALAXY (with Bill Connors
preceding Dimeola on guitar).

Anyone interested in the roots of jazz-funk should check these guys
out.

(Not to mention Lou Donaldson, Herbie, Grant Green, George Benson,
Donald Byrd, Freddie Hubbard, Cannonball and Nat Adderly, Weather
Report, and a host of other not-quite-as-famous jazz folk)
