Gary - I'll check up on what's happenin' this weekend and letcha know. But
don't count on the Seattle club listings any more... Though still available
and probably causing some confusion, the Seattle pages on the Acid Jazz web
pages are really out of date now. Mine were written in what must be
September of 94, I think? I don't remember when I first sent those out.
But Greg's comments were written even earlier that mine. Things change - in
particular note that Lemon Twist (Sat, WWall) had shut down by that New
Years. In general your best bet will be to catch a copy of The Stranger,
the local "alternative" paper, and check things out there.

Of course I'm even finding that my latest comments are out of date - all of
the "I haven't gone to these clubs" clubs I listed have closed up already!
And the Electrolush lost its afterhours (so much for my comment, "the only
consistent after-hours"). A lot of changes were made in the new year, and
nobody thought to let me know ! ;) It's not my fault... just getting old,
I've sometimes been in bed by 12 recently :) Ugh.

Just to add more fodder for corrections: The arrival of Valentine's Day
means many feature nights in the clubs across Seattle. Among other non-AJs
I found this on-topic one: folks will be chilling to acid jazz at the Sit &
Spin Cafe... I don't remember the exact details and don't have the flyer
handy but you should be able to find one yerself, they're everywhere!
Expect this one to be too tightly packed, since the Sit & Spin isn't that
big - I'll see ya at Strong instead! :)

Steve

PS a couple people have asked me about the funky binaries at the end of my
messages. Apparently the new (MS Exchange) mail client tacks that stuff on
so that other mail clients can read my mail with colors and font changes and
stuff. Well, I haven't figured out how to turn the crap off when posting to
folks I know aren't using Exchange! So just ignore it - it's a classic case
of "if you don't know, you don't need to know".
Another unfortunate side effect is that my mail client is smarter than I am
and is able to tell that Ben and others posting from Japan are posting in
some japanese character set. Thus it goes ahead and saves me the effort of
trying to read something I couldn't possibly understand and decides to not
show me the messages. So I guess I've missed anything posted from Japan in
the last few months. Why can't they make one of these that saves me the
trouble of reading unsubscribe messages instead!
