I'm going to be in SF this weekend, and thought I'd take advantage of
some free time to lighten my pocket book in some good record shops. Any
suggestions for good shops for new/used vinyl or *gasp* CD?

Try Mod Lang on University Ave. in Berkeley. They have a nice
selection of both vinyl and CD's, and their acid-jazz section is quite
large.
