I am jealous. I love samba. If you are interested in great percussion try
this CD. Its "Top Percussion" by Tito Puente. It was recorded in New York
City in 1957. In addition to Tito Puente it has Mongo Santamaria, Willie
Bobo, Julito Collazo, Francisco Aguabella, Mecelino Guerra, Enrique Marti,
Evaristo Baro, El Viejo Macucho and Mercedita. It been digitaly remastered
on the tropical series from BMG. Great stuff. A must have.

JHeadz,
This Jungle/Drum n Bass stuff is ok for what it is speeded up hip
hop beats etc. But you hear what 20 samba percussionists can do at
full pelt !!! (I have been attending a Samba school run by a local
band 'Chocante' lately!!!) That stuff kicks Ass! Pure percussion mind
you (Drummer's drool!! :-)
