Just a few things I picked up:

Starving Souls - "I Be The Prophet" - 3 song EP - This is really the new
Tricky single. Two very strange and enjoyable versions of I Be the Prophet
and If You Want My Love, which is written by Martin Gore (whose name is damn
familiar, but the only band that springs to mind is Dep. Mode which can't be
right). You should check this out.

DJ Food - "Refried Food Lunchbox" - Three double lp sets, third set has box -
Mixes by Fila Brazillia, Ashley Beedle, Autechre, MLO, Journeyman, Square
Pusher, Coldcut, Lemon D, Neotropic, Tongue & Groove, Skint, Dr. Rockit,
Wagon Christ, The Herbaliser, DJ Vadim, The Angel, Mr. Scruff, Jeep Beat
Collective & Hidden Chipsters. Don't ask, you know you need this.

Mondo Grosso - "The European Expedition" - Incredible, partially live record.
Don't miss.

Soul Bossa Trio - The CuBop/Ubiquity release. - Don't miss.

Tokyo's Coolest Combo - "Tokyo's Coolest Combo In Tokyo" - Great new jazz
sound. Songs include: a cover of Van Morrison's Moondance; Pachinko, which
sounds like a jazz version of Low Rider; and Bossa Nova #9 which is credited
to L.v. Beethoven but sounds more like Christmas Music. Very enjoyable
music, but not very challenging.

Gota & The Heart of Gold - "Somethin' To Talk About" - Very good soul-funk
(or somethin'). The packaging may scare you off, with "promotional"
information linking him to Sinead O'Connor, Seal, Simply Red and something
about the "Unsung Hero of the British Music Scene", but the music is very
good.

That's it for now. Any comments or suggestions of new music is always
appreciated.
