Sheesh. Maybe that explains why no second album (it was supposed to be
out in September of '95). Their new material is okay, but not as strong
as their older stuff. The only ones of note were "Soul Kiss", which was
with a female vocal, and a rather seductive tune at that, and an extended
version of one of the interludes they recorded with Guru on Jazmatazz II.

I do know that Willie McNeil also plays drums for Jump With Joey, a
local jazz/latin/ska band, as with sax/flute guy Derrick Davis and former(?)
'Sonics keyboardist Mike Boito. And tenor sax player Jim Akimoto also
plays for some local punk/funk band. So it looks like bassist Jez
Colin is the one calling the shots here. I'm also a bit disappointed since he didn't
play his Music Man Stingray basses that night (he just played a Fender
J-bass).

Thanks for the info though. I might ask them about the real deal next time I
see them play.
