I guess with a type of music with its boundaries as open to interpretation
as Acid Jazz, we cant help but constantly have disagreements about what
should be discussed on this list. whats funky to one a'int funky to
another. Im not gonna try to say what should be here and what shouldn't.
i feel that some music falls more under the title acid jazz than others.
but that doesn't mean we should exclude it all. i think discussion is
healthy. i gotta give tha jungle heads props for makin their case about
the funkiness of jungle. as a hardcore funkateer and acid jazzer, i never
looked at it that way before. i could appreciate jungle before, but i think
i will even more now. we have let our horizons be expanded, i guess.
i gotta plug though. if youre in the chicago area, check out "Fun with a K"
wednesday nites at 11pm on WNUR 89.3 chi-town dont get funkier den dis.
sorry to ramble on.
peace and love,
