This is a very interesting release that I've actually seen racked in acid
jazz sections at some chain stores! It's not a band as such but, an Ivey
(correct sp) concept piece on a label he talked Rykodisc into bank rolling
(must be nice) called 13 Records. As far as I know it's been the only
release on the imprint.

By all accounts (and I've had a few from reliable sources) Ivey is a major
head and this record definitley has that feel to it (great if you've got
sub-woofers & of course a fatty!). Check out Go Jazz Go - as the title
suggests its a mix (all instrumental)of go-go and jazz that should appeal to
listies.

I just noticed that the liner notes say,
"Many shout outs and much respect given to: Chuck Brown and the Soul
Searchers!!"
