Checking out the Tower Records in Mountain View, I came across many French
hip-hop groups: SLEO(i bought), Democrate D, Les Sage Poets de la Rue (had
the divider but no disk, didn't check for Supr=EAme NTM, and Menelik was not
there, but it does look like Tower is getting hip to the foreign.
SLEO has some good AJ type tracks.
I found Funki Porcini in the Rock/Pop shelves, head phone sex (sp?), is a
great album. It also had a extra disk for the american release.
Also, i am rambling after being off the aj list for a month, going back for
good jazz that has influenced aj, my brother go me the Rasaan Roland Kirk
disk "Rip, Rig & Panic." t.j. kirk used the title cut for a track on its
album. This is the first album I know of that uses electronic manipulation
done by Kirk, this is from the sixties.
