I love them! Particularly the first volume, FREE AT LAST.
The mixture of jazz and African folk styles is completely
different from anything else in my collection. There
are some beautiful melodies, some incredible funk jams,
and lots more. The compilations are put together in a
loose style where the music just seems to ebb and flow
and then before you know it, the CD is over. Bet you
can't buy just one!
Best of all, I picked up all three volumes at Tower Records
for $10.99 each on sale, a great price for import CDs!
Also, each CD has a card inside that you can mail back to
get a free box that holds all three volumes. If you didn't
get a chance to hear the sampler CD from STRAIGHT, NO CHASER,
then I highly recommend you check this out.
