Digables and the Nation

This Digables thread always seem to be going on, and it always seem to be
interesting. My problem with the Digables, although I love them, is that
they are large supporters of the Nation of Islam.

As Victor Fischbarg pointed out earlier, he draws the line at
Anti-Semitism. That is also something I would like to do, but
understandably as a jew and a hip-hop fan that line can be blurred, with so
many rappers down with the Nation, a notoriously Anti-Semetic organization.
Unfortunately, Digables are bigger supporters than most, going as far to
thank them in their Grammy acceptance speech, and to give them props on
record (check out the line "seven stars and crescent". Nation of Islam's
symbol).

I know the Nation of Islam has done a great deal for the African-American
community, but they also have gone to great lengths to help foster a new
kind of hate against jews, asians, whites, and even other
african-americans. And that, fellow aj listers, is just fucking wack.
