Look on the bright side, maybe the excellent musicians in Galliano will now
have to find a new singer (and maybe a new name!). The sooner the better for
me; the simplistic monotone rhymings of Galliano always spoilt otherwise
mighty grooves. The instrumentals, or the tracks featuring their female
singer (forget her name), were always the most played. They reminded me of
the Jazzy-Bs occasional but uninspired rantings on early Soul-II-Soul
releases; some great grooves irredemably spoilt.
Don't forget, it's the groove that pumps the tune, vocals are a delicate
instrument capable of making or breaking any tune. Funk ain't pop.
