I've also heard that both Portishead and Tricky have pretty uninteresting
live shows. Maybe it would be better for some artists *not* to do live
performances, as they often seem to disappoint, and they run the risk of
damaging any respect the punters might have for them. I think a lot of this
type of music is made for dancin' and listenin' and not for watching.
Portishead's "Dummy' has my vote for the album with staying power BTW.
