Joining this thread, I would have to agree with the above. Recorded
music is recorded music, and it's the rare instance where the
atmosphere and intent can be reproduced live. I've discovered over the
years that I, almost invariably, prefer recorded music to live, so I'm
a bit biased on this subject. Live shows just usually disappoint me.
Not all the time, but enough. When and if I'm going to a live show
it's to dig the people and see HOW the musicians do their thing rather
than really try and listen to the music.

When I had the opportunity to see Raphael Sebbag from UFO and Kruder &
Dorfmeister spin in San Diego and San Francisco, they didn't really
"play", but they did spin some great records. A lot of the experience
was just watching how they went about doing what they were doing.
Granted this is an experience a little different from watching the
Chemical Brothers or Moby, or what have you.

Just another 2 pesos for the pile.
