Hi,
A reply to Philips question about taking acid to listen to aj
well, Im not big on the historical charting of where names
originate, but heres my opinion; acid house was the name for the lsd
influenced dance music coming from chicago (& elsewhwere) that suddenly
became popular in the 80's now commonly called rave. Its pretty clear
that this music is drug influenced and so are the punters, tho the big
party drug soon became E. Now that funky jazz is becoming popular amongst
the same sort of crowd, it has become linked to acid house ( a term
rarely used since the daze of 'aceeed') because its played in the club
scene and is great to dance to. So, there is a link, obviously, to
psychedelics and dance drugs, but you shouldnt feel you *have* to drop acid
to be 'in the know' about this music.
