Just wanted to say how cool I think it is that you guys found each other who
formed JIBE and are actually gigging out there in L.A....and I'm sure most
of us would love the tunes you're doing, due to our shared musical
interests; I only wish I could be there to show some support. After all,
though we can all talk a blue streak about acid jazz it's especially welcome
to see people actually DOING as well, and hopefully we are all reminded of
the importance of putting ideas into action, even when there's risk
involved. I for one would love you to keep us on the list posted on how
things go! Do not feel you are "shamelessly" self-promoting...Keep funk
alive in the wasteland that is L.A.!
Personally, I feel blessed in having gotten to meet and work with talented
folks like Belizbeha and Qool Marv thanks to this group. I wish we had more
"real life encounters" happening here -- it keeps the cozy "non-newsgroup"
feeling going...
Speaking of encounters, whom should I look for in the house at Greyboy on
Thurs in NYC?
