HUH?!? who's to say what is off-topic here? when are we gonna
stop getting this kind of messages? tr*p-h*p was discussed on
this list before the people bitching about it even knew about
this list, and some of the most interesting threads emerged
from tr*p-h*p discussions. Now I don't know but if I subscribe
to a list and witness a dozen people taking part in a tr*p-h*p
discussion, well I'm not gonna scream at them to TAKE IT SOMEWHERE
ELSE. sounds pretty extreme to me, some people take jazz way too
seriously, and maybe should open their mind to the other acid side
of it, the electronic one.
obAJ: something I've had in my crate for 1+ year now but hasn't been
mentioned here (I think) is Uriel's "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Jazz?"
EP. Everytime I play it out a couple of people come ask me what it is,
because it's so good. Goes from mid-tempo 100+bpm loungy track to very
jazzy and dancy 140+bpm track. Oh and it is not tr*p-h*ppey at all :) Does
anyone know more about the artist (Uriel)?
Also check out the Visit Venus LP if you see it. I've heard a Visit Venus EP
and sounds like the LP would be excellent too. unfortunately I couldn't find
it anymore when I wanted it :( I don't know if it's bogus or not (it definitely
sounds bogus), but the back cover talks about the tracks being remixes of
some music that was created for NASA back when they thought they were designing
a passenger shuttle for Venus. Apparently the music was supposed to be used
in the shuttle during the flight. mmmmh...
