But! Before writing off this project, take the time to check out the last
track with Gift of Gab (Blackalicious) & the Angel (w/ key player whose
name I forgot again). I got a promo of a few songs, and yes, the magazine
review is somewhat accurate (if not a little extreme), but that last
track is the bomb! Check it out- jazz meets hip-hop, and NOT in the
symbolic commercial sense.
