it may seem like a minute difference to you, but there's no trace of the
melody in the massive tune, evidence of looping, as opposed to merely adding
a rap to the original

they were merely showing their soundsystem roots. listen to some dancehall,
most tunes are based on a pre-existing "riddim".

truth be told, the only reason that tune bugged me was because i wished i'd

it first! think of it this way, at least you were familiar w/the tune by the
time you heard it. george clinton doesn't mind sampling for that reason.
someone
is always familiar w/the original groove, and will turn those that don't know
onto it.
