What you heard was a Mixmaster Morris ambient remix of an old
Coldcut track called "Autumn Leaves." The original version
is quite mellow, but not *that* mellow. However, Coldcut are
deeply involved with ambient music, primarily on their Ninja
Tune offshoot label NTone. Most of their ambient recordings
are under the name of Hex. However, there are two NTone compi-
lations that are masterfully mixed in an ambient stylee by
the Coldcut boys: TONE TALES FROM TOMORROW and TONE TALES FROM
TOMORROW TOO. Both are highly recommended.
