That would be COLDCUT's remix of Eric B. and Rakim. Bomb The Bass became an
item in the U.S. with "Beat Dis", "Love So True" and "Understand This". I
have been meaning to put together a "quick mix" compilation because I love
this music so much. Is it too early to be nostalgic for 1987 and seek a
revival?

ROC (3 -US) had the La Funk Mob remix of "Bug Bowder Dust" and the U.S.
release has the K&D. You should hear the "original" and "extended" mixes of
this song; quite good and based on a DJ food rif (which came from I know not
where). The U.S. release of "Clear" seemed to take a decidedly mellower
tack than the UK release (late 1994?) by including the K&D remix and
showcasing "Sandcastles" (a song I managed to completely ignore while
playing the UK CD to death). "Empire" with Sinead (maybe we should start a
twenty post thread on how to pronounce her name as if it matters) and the
always entertaining Benjamin Zephaniah. Actually, it may be considered
"pop" but I love Tim Simenon's work with Sinead.
