I was just curious if anyone on the list had checked out a cool column I've
been checking from time to time in JazzTimes that covers some new Acid-Jazz
stuff. I don't think it appears every month, but it's worth thumbing
through some issues to see if you can find it.
Tony Green writes it and I really think he's got his shit togethe - much
more so than most jazz writers who try to figure out why headz are flipping
over this stuff. He highlighted Lonnie Smith's "Move Your Hand" (a 5 star
classic!) in his last one and covers plenty of other funk and jazz ground.
It's good to see that JazzTimes has realized that Acid-Jazz should be
covered, and covered by someone who knows what the hell they're talking
about.
See ya,
Brian
