Oh, how could I forget! Maceo and ATKM also released a second album in
1972, reissued in 1993 on South Bound Record called "Funky Music Machine"
Personnel is:
Maceo - alto and tenor, flute, possibly keys
Kush Griffith - Trumpet
Joeseph Davis - Trumpet
Charles Sherrell - Bass
Melvin Parker - Drums
Jimmy Nolen - Guitar
Garrett Tilford - ? Tenor?
Robert Griffith - ??

It's a good album, with some weird covers ("Something" and "For No One", by
the Beatles, "Feelin Alright", by Dave mason, "Born to Wander", by Rare
Earth...). Not perfect, but essential if you love maceo and the JB's,
since All the Kings Men is all (almost) James's band!

peace -

z-love
