this is t-bird just giving you a last minute update on the fais do-do show on
nov. 9. the harem (west coast harem--listee r. scott's funky rare groove
trip)
will be in the house opening up for the n'awlins funk of galactic, however,
indigenous colors (props to listee ray sandoval--phocus1) will not be able to
funk w/our minds that night. instead, i've managed to enlist the aid of
outer-
space jazz society (guitarist nick demopolis' trio--for the solsonics
trainspotters). they played a great show @ jazzid up! (my l.a. spot--not to
be
confused w/jazid up by mushroom jazz) this past sunday and should not be
missed
if you like jazz w/your acid...
of course, the headliners galactic are always a treat. for those out of the
know, if the meters (as an entity) had kids, they would be galactic! not to
say they're derivative (as funky as they are, who cares?), but that
description
for me tends to get to the point quickly (a rare thing for me...). and of
course, i'll be spinning before/after all acts. 1st band goes on about 8:30,
so get there early, or you'll miss something!
