This is a pretty good compilation, but not excellent (IMHO) - there's a
few gems there...Sergio Mendes/For What It's Worth, and Stepping Stones/
Johnny Harris are both great. The rest is all fairly standard stuff.
Most of it isn't even from Blaxploitation movies, or at least it's
certainly not from the _best_ blaxploitation movies...

Abscences like Shaft in Africa, tracks from Shafts Big Score, Mr Tibbs,
Melinda, stuff like that. For a _real_ blaxploitation experience, try the
Funky Soundtracks bootleg compilations (put out on white label vinyl to
start off with here in the UK) - I'd give the first one 10/10. There's
probably about 100-150 pounds worth of material in them.

Cover version info:

2001- JTQ (JTQ Live), Cecil Holmes Soulful Sound (Black Motion Picture
Experience + Sound Spectrum)

Pusherman- The Frightners/Corduroy is amazingly similar...

Theme From Shaft- Check out the Sountrack to Shaft in Africa/Johnny Pate

Superfly- Synthesonic Sounds, Cecil Holmes Soulful Sound

The Look of Love- Bacharach (the original), there are HUNDREDS of great
covers of this song, I could list the ones I know, but it would take
ages...

Well. That's all I know!!!
