hi, the term comes from famous Paradise Garage club in New York. Its not a
new term I first heard it in 85, I think the Paradise Garage was long close
then anyway. These days it refers to house groove with soulful/gospel single
voices on top.... Its interesting to see that a recent compilataion called
'larry lavines paradise garage' (I think its larry anyway, excuse me if i got
the lavines wrong) has a picture of said famous dead paradise garage DJ
infront of a white hetrosexual crowd, and from what I understand it this was
definately not what the Paradise Garage was about....
