in the last poll i tried to restrict my picks to acid-jazz/trip hop,
leaving drum & bass favourites out. what's the policy here? should
we just list _the best_ stuff this year - if I do that there's bound to
be drum&bass, some techno and even guitar pop there and propably almost no
trad. acid jazz (like Jay Kay, Incognito, BNH, Galliano, Corduroy style).
.. and on the Super Sharp Shooter EP:

geez.. can't believe somebody was so impressed by the 'true playaz
anthem'.. i think that track is quite tasteless.. wack. perhaps i'll give
it a one more listen though, just to be certain.. :)
'super sharp shooter' itself totally kick ass, even though having
been rinsed for a year already it got a bit worn out...
other tracks by pascal (quite hot bass sound there) & zinc (said
beastie boys sample) work on a big system but ceratinly aren't the best
dnb stuff around. i'm coming to think that hype is the weakest producer of
the ganja bunch.. not that i would have heard his past works.
cheers,

PS. Anyone heard Basement Jaxx EP3? some hair-raising flanged house action
there on the first track.. if you were on drugs it might cause out of body
experiences..
