Kiss FM (NYC), Isaac Hayes...

Does anyone know what the relationship between Kiss and Isaac Hayes is? He
seems to have pretty much taken over there of late - besides presenting his
weekday breakfast show, he recently fronted an entire weekend (or so it
seemed). Also, someone must have used a lot of contacts and favours for Kiss
FM's forthcoming "classic soul super-star party".

On the topic of New York radio, can someone recommend a reliable source for
funky music? Kiss and WBLS seem to solely play soul music, and I haven't had
much luck in finding anything livelier.
