You should try and get hold of the first album from the quiet boys wich is
titled Cant hold the vibes (jazidcd45). This is a full lenght where this
toaster is featured on some more songs (if memory serves me right). Anyways
the first album is tighter IMO but still a bit outdated nowdays...

Well, what to say? Chris Bangs is one of the initial (or even origianal) acid
jazzers who generated this hole genre in the late 80's(approx :) ). MrBAngs
has apart from his own two releases been producing and remixen a hole bunch
of stuff.... he has IMO opinion also been the front man for a different
side of the aj scene, wich unfortunatley more or less has been forgotten.
This genre is wery much like the instrumental stuff from TQBoys (check for
instance out the release hippy house + happy hop 2 (jazid54) - probably not
to easy to get hold of though... artists like TQBoys, mc sleeze, a silent way and
johnny dayglo shows you an instrumental, and dare I say electric, side
of the a-j scene... well well... You would also want to check out the Totally
Wired series since Mr Bangs is featured on a lot of them...

For other work I can dearly recomend MrElectricTriangle : Kosmosis of the heart
(2 kool tkcd20) wich is a collaboration between mrBangs and mrElectric himself
(whoever that is... I read it once but have forgotten...). Fluid stuff...

In my opinion the a-j label can be summoned up as extremley uneven... Much
of their material...especially early stuff... is or was grounbreaking and
fantastic... unfortunatley not much holds in the long run and latley they
have seemed to loose touch with the original idea... but they still release
brilliant stuff from time to time... no doubt about it...
