It's not bad but not essential. Out on 2 12"s and a 10" on Mo Wax
featuring remixes from :

12" # 1 : MW060
---------------
Attica Blues remix (+inst) - good extremely jazzy version that takes a
bit of getting used too as it is quite a radical departure from the
original.

DJ Krush Remix - crap. Just a beat and CL Smooth rapping.

Underdog remix (+ inst) - trademark big dark beats and eerie backing
noises in his typical style. (Also out now on Bite It! is the second
installment of his Attic Tapes breakbeat collection - well worth
seeking out if you are a beathead.)

+ Album version.

12 # 2 : MW060X
---------------
Dillinja remix - nicely produced (non-jungle) offering that uses a lot
of well worn breaks but is done in fine style.

Automator remix (+ inst.) - jeep beat style hip hop version with
Q-bert on the turntables on superb form (as usual).

Forme remix - superb dark jungle version in two parts, the first being
vocal the second instrumental.

+ Album version

10" : MW060N
------------
Underdog remix (+ inst) - very little change to his mix on the first
12".

Danny Breaks (Dropping Scince) remix (+ inst.) - the best of the
bunch. Lots of big beats chopped up DJ Shadow style and some nice
scratching and a bit of Cheech and Chong thrown in for good measure.

If you are going to pick any up then I'd recommend the second 12" but
they are all good altough if you've got the album version then you've
got one of the best versions already. It might be better however to
take a listen to all 3 versions as I haven't had time to listen to
then closely - there is quite a lot to get through.

As an aside why do Mo Wax insist on releasing the best versions of
their tracks on a third piece of vinyl a couple of weeks after the
first two releases? It happened with the Prince Paul remix of Dr
Octagon's 'Blue Flowers' and the Claude Young remix of 'Bug In The
Bassbin' and now with the Danny Breaks mix of DJ Krush and my pockets
are getting empty!

Another recommendation is Spacer 'Contrazoom' (Pussyfoot PUSSY013). A
single sided 10" sampler from the forthcoming 'Pussy Galore' LP of
alternative Bond themes which if this is any to go by is going to be
outstanding. An orchestral drum and bass fusion with lots of strings
and a nice female vocal at the end. It's hard to describe but on
first hearing I thought 'that sounds like a Bond theme for the 90s'
and that's exactly what is was intended to be so thats a fair
desciption then. (The full length featuring all of your Pussyfoot
faves is out next Monday I think so its probably best if anyone waits
for that rather than buying this (just 1 track)).

Also the new PFM 12" on Good Looking ('For All Of US/The Mystics') is
oustanding if you like atmospheric drum and bass. (Whoever said 'PFM
makes beautiful music' - I wholeheartedly agree.)
