BTW, on the jam session front, the Jazz Cafe still has them occasionally
(though the Sunday afternoon sessions seem to be a thing of the past), as
does The Rhythmic (the club in Islington opened by the original Jazz Cafe
owners.)

This group Samuel Purdey that Simon mentioned appear to be playing at the
Jazz Cafe on November 5th.

Maxwell's gig at The Forum is sold out, so there are at least two
disappointed punters in the clapham area.

Oh, and Incognito (with guest Courtney Pine) are playing at the Brixton
Academy on Sunday 27th, with Lewis Taylor in support.
