Also read an atricle in Straight No Chaser mag on Palmskin/Simon =
Richmond
which explained that he didn't want to make a club album but explore =
the ability of music of taking the listener on a journey instead of =
searching for the best beat loops. I heard some negative sounds on the =
list on the album but I still bought it and I must say that there are =
some excellent tracks on it if you're not focussed on beats and steady =
rythms.
Some recent buys; the new Jeru album, dope as usual, great production by =
Premier and Guru; new album of Xzibit (his last hit was Paparazzi) which =
is very nice, another west-coaster who can pull it off.
DJ krush e.p. (came out in 95 but only reached the shops here now) on =
Shadow records- only instrumentals, very nice.
I hope somebody can write down a review of a Maxwell gig because I'm =

how his live perfomances are.. Talking about live, I think Red Snapper =
is very good live but their records are always a bit disappointing. It's =
often the other way around. Any other bands that are much better live =
then recorded?
Oh and there was a show on national tv on jungle last night. There were =
interviews with Photek (the dude rides a $200,000 Ferrari, can you =
believe it!),
Jim and Phil from Source Direct (also ride very expensive cars, 2xBMW M3 =
and they are only 19 and 20 years old!) and Squarepusher. The guys from =
Source Direct explained why they made music: "There are only little =
things you can do when you're not living in a big city; driving fast =
cars, chasing women and sitting in the studio. That's about it, oh yes =
and using drugs of course." Haven't heard much stuff from Squarepusher, =
is it as dark as the other two? Seems to me that jungle is going gold =
these days.

Wow, are there really 444 people on this list..lot of lurkers eh, I =
think there would be much more requests on deviding the list if they all =
voiced there opininons, reviews etc :). btw on the list name thread, =
