IMHO, the part of the Internet that needs the most improvement is
newsgroups. If you're active in newsgroups, you'll find out that 80% of
people on the USENET are either college students or people who work for
large corporations. This is not to pick on the *kinds* of people on the
USENET, it is to say mainly that it takes a lot of resources to maintain a
good, accurate, TIMELY USENET feed (the resources that mainly
Universities, Large Corporations and the gargantuan-ISPs (Netscum,
Crimenet and Earthstink (oops! heheh) have. The majority of small- and mid-
sized ISPs either deal with substandard news servers, or no news at all,
hence, not everyone would have access to a USENET "alt.music.acid-jazz"
newsgroup.
