first of all, be sure to check out the KRUDER & DORFMEISTER mixalbum
(out on K7 - K7046CD). Definatley one of the best DJ-recordings I have
ever heard.... This is the definition of smooth mixing between all
imaginable hip, tripp and junglist sounds. If you miss this one, its
at your own loss.... dope man.. I just say dope...
For the more aggressive taste you might be interested in SOURCE LAB2
(out on Source :) . This, for you who dont know, is a compilation of
french vibes. Definate highlight is DAFT PUNK but the rest rock=B4n=B4rol=
l
for sure. France is a nation with great muscicians, no doubt about it.
On the more pop side, ST ETIENNE=B4s CASINO CLASSICS is well worth a clos=
er
look. Once again this great popband has released a compilation of remixes.
The (of course limited edition) double Cd (HVNLP16CD - Heavenly) contains
a lot of interesting stuff, mostly for the more techno orientated people
though. By far the best are LIONROCKS remix of NOTHING CAN STOP US NOW
(just where the hell is the original song btw :) and MONKEY MAFIAS work
on the excellent track FILTHY.
and then we get to the rock part of the music scene. At least that could
be one definition on the excellent PRINCE BLIMEY from RED SNAPPER. Nothin=

needed to say really but still, making jungle without machines is one
awesome talant to own.... they played live in Stockholm last thirsday
but I unfortunatley was out of town and missed them. All say it was
fucking marvelous though.... All you who like this should really give
GRASSY KNOLL a check-up (I talked about them about a week ago)...
well, not much more to say. but be sure to dust the old record collection
and give KRAFTWERK a rerun on you turntables. Just listen to the drum-
treatment on Trans-Europe Express and the mix into Metal on Metal....
Shit, if James Brown is the grandfather of soul, Kraftwerk definatley
is the creators of modern dance music.... RESPECT DUE!!!!!!!
