Saw both of these last night at The Brixton Academy. A great
experience. Although I've seen them before, this was really uplifting
stuff. The vibe was great.

DJ Pogo did a stunning set alongside Courtney Pine - Pogo can
scratch-mix 'the hind legs off a donkey'. They were also briefly
joined by Juliet Roberts.

As far as Incognito goes, Maysa Leake (spelling?) surprised me with
really strong vocals right through the set (including a rendition of
'Round Midnight halfway through Always There). As well as Maysa, Chris
Ballin was outstanding (a backing vocals man who has been singing with
the likes of Omar for years - I think he's his cousin - the man is
made for lead vocals). Between Maysa, Chris and Imani, they rotated on
lead and backing vocals. The band was tight as usual and Bluey seemed
moved by the reception from the crowd - he was humble.

Altogether, I was feeling indifferent before I went, but came back
feeling great.
