I thought Howie B.'s remixing of "Mission Impossible" was good (but not
great). You could easily see how he'd use/loop Edge's guitar lines to
bridge a U2 and a Howie B. sound. I'm no big fan of guitars or U2 but Mr.
Mullen does create some pretty innovative guitar lines that would be
excellent fodder for Howie B.'s production style.

I recommended this a while back but I think Howie B.'s remix of New Order's
"Age of Consent" is quite brilliant (even though the rest of that CD is
quite bad or ordinary).

On a side note; there is nothing new about the vampiric tendencies of aging
millionaire rock/pop/classical stars sucking the creativity out of new
trends and talent. Sometimes the results can be quite excellent but usually
the vanity of the "star" drags the talents down (but the talent gets to eat
for a few more years). I read a pretty good interview with William Orbit on
this subject once but I can't remember where. Anyway, he was happy with
eating and getting to travel and this undoubtedly made his music better.

That's the letter U and the numeral 2,

Jim
