Brandon,

Congratulations on being visited by the Vinyl Goddess. She always pops up
when you least expect it. I can testify from personal experience that
she'll never do you wrong. Just do right (i.e., support wax and get a
turntable) and she'll bestow blessings on you for a lifetime. I always had
records, but I have spent the last 3-4 years absorbed in cds. I have
finally realized that I've been getting played (and gypped) all this time
and have re-dedicated myself to vinyl. Since I have been in school, I have
bought over 70 records.

You got yourself quite a find. Especially with the Meters and Gil records.
I have never seen an actual Meters album, much less one of the original
Josie albums. Whew! The Gil album, as far as I can tell, hasn't been
reissued, so it's good to have as well. Same with the other ones listed.
I'm sorry to say that the only Mayfield album I have is Superfly, but I'm
trying to get others. The man has lyrics for days.

Are any of these on Warner Brothers? If so, you've got yourself a couple
of super rare albums. EWF was always pretty dope, but they were at their
wildest/funkiest on their WB albums and the first 3 or so on Columbia.

Another rarity. A lot of people dismiss the Isleys as just a slow-jam
band, but they had their own flavor of funk.

Again, enjoy the records. Treat them right and they'll treat you right.

Peace.
Anthony
