First some reviews;

Arakatuba + Ballistic Brothers/Fila Brazillia - Pele/Socrates - Mr Bongo =
-12"
another latin release from the Bongo people. Great Batucada mixed with =
techno sounds. The cover mentions a forthcoming 3xlp "Brazilian =
Explosion"
Looking forward to that one.

Pharaohs - Awakening - Ubiquity -lp
contents: - damballa, a classic tune
- Ibo
- Tracks of my tears
- Black enuff
- Somebodys been sleeping
- Freedom Road
- Great House
All pressed on a very good vinyl quality (the covers says HQ-180?!?) and =
a=20
nice cover too.=20

Nas - Illmatic - Columbia -lp
due to his popular new single I remembered that a local shop here still =
had a copy of this somewhat older but great hip-hop album. My favourite =
track: The world is yours. I haven't heard his new album yet. Can =
somebody compare it with this one?

Now for my tech question I have tried to tape some of my records but =
somehow the SSH sounds are to loud, they all sound like they are =
spitting
on my tape. Could it be the needle (stanton 500) or the tapedeck heads.
I can't change the record level on my equalizer, maybe it's set too =
high?
I've tried it out with tapes of various quality. Would it help if I tape =
it with dolby
B/C? any suggestions are welcome.

upcoming (well maybe): an interview with DJ Shadow who was here in the =
Netherlands last week. A friend of mine did an interview with him and =
maybe=20
I can put it on the list if I get permission from the magazine he's =
working for.

Oh and to that person who found all those rare records, stop lying!!
just kidding, I'm only extremely jealous. It's your world..aargh I'm =
looking for that one for almost five years...Imagine that there are a =
lot of these rare and excellent albums lying in basements collecting =
dust (there are probably)

tot later,
Jeroen (aja? acid-jazz attitude?)
