Having listened to the Rebirth of the cool 6 album in my local record store some
weeks ago I decided to give it a miss. I can't get into music like that. It
doesn't have any real structure or direction. There are one or two tracks on the
album that I would classify as harmonious, but the majority just isn't happening
for me. There is far better garage with jazzy overtones that I would rather
invest in than the latest rebirth. Of course everyone for themselves and if it
appeals to the masses then who am I to speak? For me music must have a definite
direction but where a lot of a-jazz is headed I am not too sure that I want to
follow it. Of course there are a lot of labels producing high quality groovy
music to rock to and appreciate and all I can say is keep it up.
