This isn't really important, but I haven't seen many postings this week
and thought I'd write. In the past, there have been posts about jazz
musician Sam Rivers, who played with Miles Davis and subsequently went on
to do sessions for Blue Note, Impulse, and other labels. He's now
incorporating acid-jazz and hiphop into his music, even playing with a DJ.
The reason I mention all this is because I just found out that this man is
73 years old!!! I think it's amazing that someone of his age would even be
playing anything, but to know that he's continuing to move forward and
going for that next level makes him even more unique. He's way cooler than
my grandparents, and he's older!
