Now to a really good performer; Dana Bryant. She delivered some great =
poems on the Crossing Border festival in The Hague last week. I sat in =
the front row=20
and obviously had a very good view because almost twenty camera-people =
crawled next to me during her performance, kliklik..bzzz..klikklak =
aarghh! Go away! Something tells me that they didn't come to hear her =
poems...
She entered the stage without a band only accompanied by a spotlight and =
a microphone, she was juic.. ehh did an excellent job as her voice =
filled the hall.
She did a modernized version of the revolution will not be televised and =
some poems from her new album ( Has anyone seen it on vinyl yet?? I =
really want to have it) .=20
Afterwards I tried to sneak through the security to get my copy of =
Whishing from the Top signed and to do a little interview maybe. No luck =
,they didn't let me. Five minutes later I met an old girlfriend of mine =
who told me that her boyfriend was part of the organisation of the =
festival. Here's my chance I thought and asked her boyfriend to take me =
backstage. He took me there as I waved to the security people. I knocked =
on her door only to find out that she left to NYC five minutes ago. A =
real workaholic, arrived at 18:00 from L.A. and left at 19:00 to NYC to =
do a performance there Too bad but no interview with Dana. but! ... the =
Dj Shadow interview is coming this week.
Someone asked question about turntables. Could that person pass the mail =
he gets on that subject to me also. Thanks
Vrede,
Jeroen
